Anime: Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii 712i4d

Easy, relaxing and relatable watch.

If you're a working adult otaku, its gonna be so easy to relate. Balancing career, hobby (anime, manga, games, cosplay, etc) and love. And the fact it maintains so well an always cheerful atmosphere with some sticky situation that always ends well - makes this such an easy watch. And boot in the genre and demography centric comedy - so enjoyable.

Weirdly I felt the pacing weird sometimes - like to lovey scenes were too slow, so much that I actually put off watching half the season until now since launch. But boy am I glad I binge it till the end now.

The chemistry between the quartet and ing cast was wonderful and really left a nice warm smile on my face. I feel so happy for the couples, that they are able to meet similar interest partners. Also the ED song is so uplifting and cute

It's more for the fans that's able to relate, but for me its 7/10. I would love a S2

It's a good watch, but not for everyone. I think it's actually quite lucky and sweet that they found each other and have romantic feelings towards each other. I have so many otaku friends, but I am also 100% sure I will never date any of them and non-otaku guys find hard to understand my ion for this type of hobbies. In the end "Love is hard for otaku" and the people who have the same issue will smile at this show a lot :) .

This felt like a really natural series, there wasn't any of the forced situations that make you go, "Why am I watching this?" Maybe because it's relatable? Anyone who's a nerd will find something that resonates with them in this.

It also has nice moments of relationship growth, things which you hope will happen for the characters, and somehow do.

If you're on the fence, give it a go, I doubt you'll dislike it. Worth the watch.

It is a must see to me, but probably not for everyone, so I only put "recommended" for this one. You will enjoy it more if you are/were a gamer. The romance part is not cheesy at all, and the BL part is pretty funny. Really love the ending song. Looking forward to season 2.

This is one of those refreshing romcoms that take place in the workplace, while at the same time showcasing the otaku life of the main characters. Sure, there is not much of a plot and from a romance viewpoint there is not much progress and growth but the series overall felt fresh with almost every episode. I was rather mystified by the producers' choice to cap it at eleven episodes, when the industry standard is 12 or 13 and I think that a twelfth may have come in handy to appropiately close the series, as Ep.11 felt a little rushed. Still, is a good noitaminA josei series and thus, I recommend it for both seinen and josei romance fans, or really anyone who likes a more mature take at the slice of life genre.

Although imperfect at times, this show does have an excellent sort of chemistry that makes it funny and also makes it feel a little more "grown up" even though most of the antics could have happened in high school, not just for "working adults". I think the best part about this show, actually, is that the comedy is evenly balanced gender-wise. It's listed as josei (adult women), but I think it's more appropriate to say that this is a romcom either gender could sink their teeth into comfortably. I would be quite pleased if they decided to produce a second season of this one.

Sharply observed and wickedly funny in a lighthearted and self-deprecating way. Episodic comedy. Animation is average, or it would get higher marks.
Main characters are very interesting, and as a josei it's hard to find a good comparison. But if you like this short series, you're among otaku friends.
