- Honestly Kurata is totally such a fresh character. All it took was to make a normally freshmen character into a sophomore, without a strong bias to either of them.
- Kurusu & Kouta are great "affirmators" of your feelings. You saw someone being cute? Well they're ready to hug him/her for you.

Different interests (koto vs shougi) but the same struggle to get to the top and similiar portrayal of harsh competetive world and difficult interpersonal situations, envy and hatred included. Believable and relatable backstories brings together a mixture of drama, humour, dark themes and touching moments.

It was so much fun to watch a koto anime. Characters, story, romance, everything was good.

A great continuation of the first season and again one of the best shows this season!
You've got the same as in the first season: The music sounds lovely, the character design is beautiful and the story progression has a really nice pace. The story itself is heartwarming since it's mostly about family and friendship and with a little bit of romance added in.
If you enjoy high school stories and some good music, you might enjoy this series as well. The ending itself is very well done: In case there won't be a continuation the ending concludes the first arc and you have a nice ending. In case there will be an adaptation of the next arc you will know what it will be about.
This season covers the story up to chapter 55 of vol. 14 of the manga series which is still ongoing and currently at vol. 21 so there're plenty material for another season. Let's hope for the best!

Excellent series about the Japanese Koto, with lots of drama andgood animation. If you like the Koto, there aren't many series that showcase it.
Watch the first season to get a sense of the arc. This was one of the best of the season, and even if you don't like sports club or music club animes, it's worth a watch. If you are a fana of that genre, you'll enjoy this also.
