reasons The main story of Go-Toubun no Hanayome~ takes place after Go-Toubun no Hanayome 2, and before Eiga Go-Toubun no Hanayome, thus it is a sequel/prequel respectively. Go-Toubun no Hanayome~ does include flashbacks to events that take place during the first two seasons (Go-Toubun no Hanayome and Go-Toubun no Hanayome 2), that were not shown as such (from a different perspective) during those two seasons (In that sense it is somewhat of a side story to both seasons). However the main storyline takes place between Go-Toubun no Hanayome 2, and before Eiga Go-Toubun no Hanayome, and the flashbacks are only used to progress the main storyline. As such it should be considered a sequel to the second season, and a prequel to the movie Eiga Go-Toubun no Hanayome.

I strongly reccomended (absolutelly must Have for fans :). Now we can only wait for Season 3 and movie.

One one hand, it goes harder for the mystery childhood meeting, which I personally don't like as a plot twist in such shows.
On the other hand, there's a lot of plot progression and character development! At a nice pace, even!
All in all, about the same as the previous season.

This one took me for a loop as the first season was focused on education as was the majority of this season. During the secound half we could see that the characters started developing feelings but there didn't seem much basis for it at any rate. Just felt kind of disted and a little weird but don't get me wrong in any event I enjoyed the finally, a little curious as to the main character not confronting any major road blocks but as there is a movie in the works hopefully it'll clear some of that up. Kinda of reminiscent of Clannad for me, not sure why, the ending was sweet, so I enjoyed it.

I was actually stalled midway in 1st half of the season from what IMO a draggy plot with too much back & forth on the siblings quarrel, their study & relation with ML
Things do pick up in 2nd half. The girls started taking initiative whilst ML plays dumb
But along with that they grew up, learning to dream their own dream while being together sorting through sisterly conflicts & love whilst ing each other at same time
Spicing things up is some healthy love competition, family intervention and squabbles. Along the way many secrets were also revealed
With all this drama, it isn't really a rom-com anymore but it generates good enough nice kyunkyun moments. ML does still irriatate me with his reluctnce
Artwork noticeably diff vs S1 but not in particular good or bad way
Overall despite its draggy start, the more grown up feel does felt enjoyable and satisfying with its continuity from S1. 7/10 for me. Do watch if you like S1

S1 focused on studying with some romance elements sprinkled in, but S2 leans towards the romance/harem aspect with a lot of melodrama. However, just like the previous season, there are tons of cliche harem situations. IMO, I enjoyed S1 more since the drama wasn't over-the-top... especially with S2 having a lot of unneeded drama. Kinda surprised there is another season... a premise like this normally ends with 1 season, much less 3. In the end, if you enjoyed S1, you'll enjoy this.

This second season of Gotoubun was weird. What I mean by that is that, while it was very entertaining, it was also very inconsistent.
When I first started watching it, I read rumors online that the series maybe could end differently from the manga. As I frankly didn't like the original ending, I was very engaged. And during the first half, it seemed like just that: a different heroine was much more developed. However, during the second half, it seemed as if the studio or the director changed their minds, and thus drove the series to end in a cliffhanger which will pave the way to the recently announced third season. Animation was also wildly inconsistent and overall below average, which is understandable, as the anime changed its animation company.
All in all, it was decent, though also somewhat disappointing, as I really wanted for this season to give us an alternative ending regarding the manga. Now we can only wait for Season 3. For fans of the series and the harem genre.
