As other reviews have put it more eloquently than I could, a beautiful story of discrimination and resolution, although the resolution appears to be what we expect after the big reveal the 2nd season indicates that it's not all that it seems.
Post apocalyptic world, almost enjoying the fruits of what they can "...for tomorrow we die". There seems to be some draws to parallelism with Nazi during WWII, where race purity validates ones existence and the impure don't have that right. Interesting how the group influences the whole without consideration to their consequences or right and wrong, humanity's inherently selfish nature, which adds a disconcerting element of realism.
