Disappointingly, but predictably, everyone is secretly a childhood friend.
Still manages to subvert some tropes and give a good showing if you stick around for a few episodes until the light-hearted twist.
From then on it's open hunting season on the protagonist, and hunters and prey alike are all idiot teenagers. If that sounds annoying to you, avoid at all costs, otherwise it's an ok watch for genre fans.

The problem with this is that it's supposed to be a romantic comedy (it's right there in the title). But there is no romance and no comedy. Clannad, Air, Kanon, Little Busters, Toradora, etc are all romantic comedies. This isn't. All there is are a bunch of girls, any of which (as usual) any man in the real world would give an arm or a leg for (if looks were your only measure), and this boy who's a complete non entity (again, as usual). But the girl's behave more like they're manoeuvring in some hideous real life relationship, with no romance at all. And then there's the nauseating real world 'business' related stuff, where they try to make money from his mother's death and some creepy website. Cringe. Not to mention his 'dance'. What was that supposed to be? Romantic comedies are supposed to carry you along in a fantasy of niceness so you can lose yourself in it and forget the real world. This is more like a documentary about real people, none of which you'd want anything to do with.

You might not find the show as bad as I did, were this to be one of the first harem shows for you to watch, Unfortunately, I am a somewhat veteran weeb, and having seen a lot of similar shows, I couldn't find any new ideas introduced here, the comedy part was rather weak, and the romance/drama wasn't that good either IMHO (actually, it even felt cringey at times...). Last but not least, there is no real conclusion here to be found (a mere 12 episodes - the story goes on in the light novel original)
There are *much* better harem (rom-com) shows around there (that at times even come with a conclusion!). I'd watch this ONLY if you're a hardcore fan of the genre (or [one or more of] the FL seiyuu

But at the same time, both have some of the most straightforward and "reliving" moments that totally caught you off guard (instead of dragging it out in most anime). Both have hidden actors with unknown motive, bad guy turned out to be good, and vice-versa.
Overall both can be a very low quality, but can be extremely fun watch.
