Anime: Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata g2p6r

The execution was lacking, specially towards the end, you could really tell they were trying to stretch the source material to cover 12 eps, but the story itself was pretty good, shame they did such a bad job of it, but they also did a lot of things right, like taking their time with the characters growth, both literal, figurative and magical.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next season.

It's an okay watch at first, but it quickly goes downhill

Magic Maker has an incredibly unique take on the Isekai genre!

The usual OP MC is NOT the focus of this anime. The MC is reborn into a world with the presence of MAGIC, but no knowledge on how it works! By this premise alone, it already stands out a bit from many Isekai in the genre!

Discovery, experimentation, and PROGRESS, this is the name of Magic Maker! The characters are enjoyable, their interactions pleasant, and the setting is good. That being said, and the reason most people might gripe about this series, is indeed its SLOW PROGRESS. It is quite slow in the beginning and this can be a turn off for some people. It definitely should have gotten more episodes to round out the story and fill in lose ends, however, it does end in a decent spot. If you LOVE the GENRE, this wont be a waste, so definitely give it a WATCH!

I can see why some might not dig this series as normally with isekai shows the MC trains/learns their abilities for 1-2 episodes then goes on adventures with friends; however, this show really focuses on the learning process, which makes sense based on the title of this anime. After the training aspect, its a lot of common troupes that have been seen numerous times when it came to the threats. Despite S1 being a decent watch, I'm curious for S2 as the world building was starting to begin.

An entertaining, lighthearted, and cozy isekai to watch. I don’t understand why it has such a low rating... I think it’s because there aren’t any busty waifus. It’s not a great series, but it’s above average—about a 7.5 out of 10.

Not like the typical "Reborn in another world" animes!

Absolutly worth watching.
The story is deepening over time a lot, beginning is a lil "Why am i watching this again?"
But you learn to really like the optimism of the main char.

If you look for smth. like re:zero, Konosuba, or other bigger ones, this is not for you.
If you are open to new concepts and specialy love al about magic and have thought about it a lot allready, this is the anime for you!

A very different take on a isekai than most series. Very "normal" for the start of the series with many struggles for the MC. Though through perseverance and study, he overcomes it. This is a winning recipe for these type of series, which I'm honestly surprised is rarely used. It also appears there is an underlying story of who the MC is, where he came from, and what he is truly capable of.

There are definitely some gaps and leaps of logic here and there, but the season flew by in spectacular fashion.

Don't miss out, this one is pretty dang good.

This is actually quite a nice show. As the MC reincarnated into a world which doesn't really have a grasp of the concept of magic, the main plot revolves around the MC slowly researches on it and slowly but steadily finds out how to use it and what to do with it.
The pace is very slow for a show of this type, and a big portion of the 12 episodes is not even about this main plot - but in the end it bounces back nicely.
The animation is not bad and has something of a unique style going on for it, the soundtrack is ok-ish, the characters are mostly likeable and the plot as I mentioned before is on the slow side.
All in all, it's an 8/10 for me - there seems to be more to the plot than what was covered by the anime (as in the end the MC embarks on a new chapter in his life) so I'm hoping for a continuation for it, which I'll gladly watch.
