Art & Animation: This show, if anything, is too crisply animated.
Sound: Forgettable.
Story: I felt that the story placed too much emphasis on the value of getting to know "wholesome" country folk.
Characters: The children's characters were well-developed, but the adults were mostly dislikable. The main character's parents, in particular, were completely unbelievable. In other words, I could not buy into their motivations. They seemed to be there solely to drive the plot in certain directions.
Value: I tried to be open-minded about this show, but on the whole it felt preachy and high-handed. Interestingly, the interactions with the children and teen characters were not maudlin or sentimental--that was reserved for the older adults when they were the focus.
Enjoyment: I laughed quite a few times, which bumped this show up a bit for me.
All in all, this show is not bad, but I wished for more of the funny bits and a bit less of the preachiness.
