In the most general possible, a bodysuit is a one-piece outfit that fits the body tightly. The most famous anime bodysuits are doubtlessly the Shinseiki Evangelion plugsuits, which help enhance the pilots' synchronization capabilities. Space suits are not bodysuits, because, while they cover the entire body, they definitely are anything but tight; one-piece wetsuits or swimwear, on the other hand, qualify as such.
