Organisation: Shinsengumi 5n415p

Roshigumi was special police founded by the Bakufu in order to steer thugs into fighting against Joi rebels. While the organization began as a lost cause with constant infighting, after its co-founder, Sasaki Isaburou abandoned the project in favour of founding his own special police (Mimawarigumi), Kondou Isao reformed the organisation into Shinsengumi.

Following the Shogun Assassination-arc and the creation of new government, the Shinsengumi were blamed for the murder of a former shogun and disbanded. However, after witnessing the tyranny of Hitotsubashi Nobunobu, Hijikata Toushirou regrouped the former Shinsengumi in order to rescue Matsudaira Katakuriko and KoFarewello. After the events of Farawell Shinsengumi-arc, the Shinsengumi continued to resist the government and fled from Edo.
