Taikan Anime, short for Taikan Animation is a small animation and finishing studio located in Suginami, Tokyo, Japan. Its representative director is 陶祖洪. While the studio itself does not produce animation, but only handles subcontracting work for other studios, it does also have an own subsidiary, Phoenix Animation, in Wuxi, China.
Taikan Anime is infamous for producing several so-called Brighter than Dawning Blue -Crescent Love-, which was completely outsourced to the studio and stood out because of the poor quality. The anime subsequently was named Brighter than Dawning Green -Cabbage Love- by the Japanese viewers, due to an extremely badly drawn cabbage, amongst other things, in this episode.
