Wao World is a production company for animation, digital works and webdesign in Japan. It was established on July 17, 2000 with an initial capital of 50 million yen. In April 2001 it moved to its new headquarters in Shinjuku, Tokyo. In April, 2007 it moved to its current headquarters in Suginami, Tokyo. Its current capital is 100 million yen. The chairman of the board is anime director Murakami Tadahiro.
Its first production work was the drama about the blind shamisen player Nitaboh, which took four years to completion. Its second work was the postwar drama Furusato Japan.
