Katabuchi Sunao was born August 10, 1960 in Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
After graduating from Chiba Prefectural Funabashi Senior High School he entered the Department of Art at Nihon University. It was there that he met Yamamura Kouji.
He ed MAPPA.
He also used to work as a lecturer at the Art Department at Nihon University.
